Problem: Atrazine

Atrazine applied to corn seed	1 lb per acre	Sandy Loam	Spring Wheat	2 qt per acre applied late fall over disked in corn stalks	No damage with above average yield for the year: 143 bu/acre corn stalk decompostion was noticeably enhanced
Atrazine applied to sweet corn	1 lb per acre	Sandy Loam	Onions	39 oz per acre through pivot	Onions planted began to show chemical damage - RECLAIM applied through water - in 5 days no detectable damage. 36 ton yield with exceptional quality.
Atrazine applied to field corn	1.5 lb per race	Sandy Loam	Alfalfa	2 qt per acre sprayed on disked in 20 days preplant Irrigated after RECLAIM applied and before alfalfa planted	No damage to alfalfa - excellent stand.
Atrazine applied to field corn	1 lb per acre	Sandy Loam	Radish Seed	2 qt per acre applied & disked in 20-30 days preplant	No damage to radish seed with excellent yield & quality. This program has been repeated on 5+ fields in the Connell/Basin City area of Columbia Basin, WA.
Atrazine applied to seed corn	.5 lb/acre banded in 9" band over row	Sandy Loam	Bean Seed	2 qt per acre sprayed in late fall behind corn and lightly disked in	No damage to bean crop with yield above average for area and year. Also, corn stalk decomposition was enhanced.
Atrazine applied to field corn	2 lb per acre plus heavier rate applied to areas of severe thistle	Sandy Loam	Bean Seed	1 qt per acre sprayed on - disked in, late March. 1 pt per acre before planting in early May. Irrigated after 1st application.	Excellent bean crop with no signs of chemical damage - excellent yield.
Atrazine applied to field corn	1.5 lb per acre	Sandy Loam	Bean Seed	2 qt per acre sprayed on, disked in late March. Beans planted early May Irrigated after RECLAIM	No damage to bean crop. Control plot was left with no RECLAIM - beans showed severe damaged from Atrazine carryover in control plot.
Atrazine portions of field had been treated for thistle and weed control on old ditch banks prior to pivot being installed	2-10 lbs per acre	Sandy Loam	Carrots	2 qt per acre 2 weeks after fumigation	No chemical damage could be detected - above average crop increased profits $160 per acre. No crusting or water problems.
